To ensure the health and safety for you and our staff, if you are experiencing a fever, cold, or flu-like symptoms or if anyone in your household has been exposed to COVID-19 within the past seven days, please notify your consultant as soon as possible. You may be asked to either switch to a tele-therapy session or delay your appointment for a minimum 5-10 days per CDC guidelines and may be asked to wear a mask for a short period when resuming in-person appointments.
Lactation Consult
If you are supplementing, please bring pumped milk or formula. If you would like to pump during the visit, please bring your pump and attachments.
If you are using a nipple shield, please bring it.
It is helpful to have the baby ready to eat but not starving. Don’t worry if timing doesn't work out perfectly!
We will weigh the baby during the appointment, so clothing that is easy to take on and off is ideal. Please bring in your diaper bag with diapers and wipes.
Babywearing Consult
If you do not yet have a carrier or would like to learn about the various types, Milk In Motion has many different types of carriers for you to try out.
Please bring any of your own carriers that you would like to work with during your consult.
It’s likely we will only be able to focus on 2-3 carriers per visit depending on your comfort level.
Baby is always welcome, but weighted dolls are also available should you feel more comfortable practicing with them first.
Pump Bar or Pump Only Consult
If currently pumping, please bring in your pump and all necessary parts (tubes, flanges, etc.) so your consultant can observe a pump session.
If visiting Milk In Motion’s pump bar, please send a brief message to your IBCLC to let her know type of pumps (wearable, plug in, etc.) you’re interested in trying out so she can have them charged and ready.
